This Christmas I received a card that simply said, “Thank you for all that you do”. Those simple words immediately brought reflection of this last year with the youth: all the events, meetings, prayers, travels, food, music and fun. In all the hours spent in preparation, driving, decorating, teaching, cleaning, studying, listening, sharing, etc… mine was only a very small piece in a large puzzle of others.

My first pastor was a gentle man named Earl Morley. I quickly grew to respect the way in which he lived his life as a Christian man, and in many ways wanted to be like him. The more time I spent with him, the greater example he portrayed to me of patience, humility, and spiritual maturity. Regardless of the calm or calamity of the circumstances around him, he was the same man.
The passage above was lived out loud in his life and ministry. He showed that joy was appropriate at all times....

The spring break retreat at Lake Placid was a great time of fun, bonding, and Bible study. The focus of our teaching time together was to motivate our young men and women to take advantage of their youth. We only have one chance to give God the strength of our youth. I'm sure the youth and adult chaperons are worn out after boating, kyakaking, swimming, games, Bible stuidies, pranks, and even a service project.
The youth are diligently working on their acts for the April 25th Variety...
