Purpose: The purpose of the Parkridge Christian Academy is to provide a creative learning and developmental environment, which will inspire children and their families to be more like Jesus.

Parkridge Preschool has received Florida's Gold Seal as a quality childcare provider
Parkridge is a provider of Florida's VPK Program (Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten)
Parkridge Christian Academy is also a member of ACSI' s Preschool Approval Program
The preschool is registared as a Substantial Compliance program with Broward County. The identification number is R1105.
VPK Lead Teachers have a Childcare Development Associate (CDA)
Lead Teachers have childcare experience and/or a CDA
Aides have at least the required Broward County childcare training
Staff interacting with the students have been background screened through Florida's Department of Children and Familes
A minumum of two staff members with a CPR and First Aid Certificate are on-campus during school hours of operation

Parkridge Christian Academy is operated as a community outreach ministry of Parkridge Baptist Church, making us a
church-related preschool.
The core instruction time will incorporate the Bible; it is the inspired, inerrant, infallible Word of God.

Our goal is to provide a balance of self-directed and teacher-directed activities that will enable children

To observe and document spiritual changes in students and families
To assess and record developmental improvement in a student portfolio (shared with parent regularly throughout the school year)
To build strong relationships with parents and extend opportunities for parents to communicate with the school staff
Who is accepted into the preschool program?
Our program is open to the general public provided the family agrees to sign Parkridge's Handbook Agreement Form
and follows the the entire enrollment process.
Enrollment Procedures:
For all new familes, please come by for a tour today!
At the time of the tour a complete packet of information for the preschool program will be avaiable
Complete and return all applicable applications to the academy office with an attached, non-refundable application fee
All special accommodation information must be disclosed on applications
Submit all additional paperowrk and forms required
Immediate enrollment is offered based on availability
School Year Calendar We follow the Broward County School Calendar with a few key exceptions.
Parents are provided with a copy of our school calendar at the beginning of the school year.
Any variations to the school calendar will be made in writing at least one week in advance.
Please find a monthly calendar of events in your child’s information on the first of every month.
We follow the Broward County for a few reasons...
Our preschool program is a VPK provider. VPK is not allowed to begin prior to the first school day of the Broward County school calendar.
We have a high number of students who have siblings enrolled in our elementary program or local broward County Elementary schools.
Our academy provides K-5 Aftercare for our students as well as students enrolled in public and charter schools in the local area.
Following the Broward County school schedule allows us to coinside our K-5 Aftercare program on in-service and camp days.
