Enrollment Procedures:

For all new students, please complete and return all applicable applications to the academy office with an attached, non-refundable application fee check payable to Parkridge Christian Academy.  Within days of receiving the applications, you will be scheduled for a family interview.  All special accommodation information must be disclosed. Incoming new students who are available for testing in March will complete the SAT. Otherwise, an academic evaluation by a certified teacher will be required, if necessary.  Upon the student’s acceptance into Parkridge Christian Academy, an enrollment contract must be returned with an Enrollment Fee of $100 to secure the student’s placement for the academic year for which the child is applying.   Upon receiving the enrollment contract and enrollment fee, the family will be given an enrollment packet. The enrollment packet will contain a number of forms to be filled out, signed, and returned by July 1 or within two days of submitting the enrollment contract.

School Year Calendar

We follow the Broward County School Calendar with a few key exceptions.  Parents are provided with a copy of our school calendar at the beginning of the school year.  Any variations to the school calendar will be made in writing at least one week in advance. Please find a monthly calendar of events in your child’s information on the first of every month.
We follow the Broward County for a few reasons. First, our preschool program is a VPK provider.  VPK is not allowed to begin prior to the first school day of the Broward County school calendar.  Morover, we have a high number of enrolled VPK students who also have siblings enrolled in our elementary program or local broward County Elementary schools.  Finally, our academy provides K-5 Aftercare for our students as well as students enrolled in public and charte schools in the local area.  Following the Broward County school schedule allows us to coinside our aftercare program on in-service and camp days.
