Our Purpose

What is the PURPOSE of this church?

We believe that God has the same purpose in mind for the church as He does for people. At Parkridge, we use five words to help us remember God’s desire for our ministry. Everything we do is in an effort to help people grow in these areas of their lives.

Worship: Celebrate God’s presence through praise and worship.

Fellowship: Incorporate God’s family. Find out what we do here at Parkridge and how you can get involved.

Discipleship: Educate God’s people.

Ministry: Demonstrate God’s love through the giving of your time and/or talents.

Evangelism: Communicate God’s Word

How do the Five Purposes fit into my life?

None of the five purposes come naturally to anyone. Everyone can find room in their life to grow deeper in fulfilling God’s purposes. At Parkridge, we try to simplify things to help you know how to do this. You’ll see that the Parkridge Process is directly connected to God’s purpose in creating Changed Lives Serving Together.

Our Sunday morning worship services are the best way for you to connect with God. These services are designed for you to pursue God’s desire for you to worship Him. Click here to see video on how to connect with God! >>

There are a variety of ways at Parkridge where you can connect with people to enjoy great fellowship and learn to love others. The best way is to join a Small Group. There are several that meet on campus each Sunday, as well as some that meet during the week. Grab a “Small Group” brochure and find one that fits your schedule!

We all have gifts and abilities that God has blessed us with. God’s desire is that we use those to serve others and increase the church’s ability to minister to others. Every ministry at Parkridge has room for more volunteers and there is a place waiting for you!

The greatest joy in knowing God is helping others to know or connect to Him as well.  That means we share the Good News of Jesus Christ locally and to the ends of the earth.  You are completing the Parkridge purpose when you are engaged in leading others to Christ - obeying the Great Commission  (Matthew 28:19-20).
