Update from Peru

The Nov 6-16 Peru trip is progressing nicely and God is working. As I write this report (Wednesday Night Nov 11), the team has just passed the half-way mark in their ministry time .  So far, the team has seen 2 accept Christ and 3 baptized.  These are the first people being baptized on this side of the valley that we know of!!  Praise God!!   Jerry Wiles, Master Wiles of Tri-Star Karate,  gave a demonstration and testimony at the high school.  Many heard the gospel there.  Jerry was suffering due to altitude sickness when they first arrived.  We praise God for his recovery!

The team was then planning to depart Oyolo for the small town of Ushua, travelling through Corculla. However the team had issues with their truck, and they decided to head towards Cotahuasi and get repairs.  They are also checking on potential ministry partners who might join us in reaching our region.  They will take the road to Arequipa on Friday.

Keep lifting the team up.  Don’t forget to pray for Arturo the translator and Vic – another missionary in the region.

Please check out our “Reaching Out” and “Peru Partnership” pages for a details prayer list.
